Guest guest
I wanted to share this quote. It is one of my favorites We fight every day. War is on between negativity and positivity, between uncounscious and conscious. Life is a polarity. Emotions are sobriety, commotions and intelligence, neurosis and experience. they go hand in hand. But always remember, either you can serve the time or time can serve you. That is a choice. If you have not made it yet, you have to make it tomorrow. Without making this choice, you do not exist as an elementary human. You will be a complimentary human. - Yogi Bhajan Sat Nam, Kat
Guest guest
Just to add a bit to this post: Yogi Bhajan classified humans in three ways: elementary humans are those who are working on their spiritual levels (some successfully some not!); complimentary humans, those whom the elementary people interact with to work out their samskaras (these can vibrate between being complementary and being elementary); and supplementary humans who are merely parts of the scenery in which the other two types live. Guest guest
I Am curious Yogi B is saying that there are different paths along the persons development? And we are finding people at different points on the path, or that some births are just for "stand-ins" only? > Just to add a bit to this post: Yogi Bhajan classified humans in three > ways: elementary humans are those who are working on their spiritual > levels (some successfully some not!); complimentary humans, those whom > the elementary people interact with to work out their samskaras (these > can vibrate between being complementary and being elementary); and > supplementary humans who are merely parts of the scenery in which the > other two types live. > > Kundaliniyoga, "katnip90" <katnip90@> wrote: > > > > I wanted to share this quote. I took it to mean that people are either awake (or wanting to be awake), half asleep or sound asleep, spiritually. I would also like to hear more about this. I get very frustrated by the way the majority of my community thinks, and this helps me feel better about it. They don't mean me any harm, they're just asleep. Guest guest
Everyone has a path. Some ignore it, never even look for it, have no inclination to do so. This is their fate. Others try to find it and do not for reasons of ego, ignorance, karma, lack of a spiritual teacher that they somehow miss. This is their fate. Others ignore their spiritual teacher and so miss their spiritual path. This too is fate. Some find both a teacher and a path, and then turn away through weariness, or ego or ... ? They've had a glimpse of their destiny but tuurn aside and settle for their fate. Some others struggle along the path with the guidance of their teacher and finally succeed in reaching their destiny instead of their fate. It all happens through the grace of God and guru (the one who leads us from darkness into the light.) I don't think there are any such things as stand ins. We all select our paths out of wisdom and grace or we do not out of ignorance and greed, or lust, or anger ... and so forth. Guest guest
So to access our own soul, and receive direction from the divine nature of our true selves... We are not qualified to navigate our own path I think a teacher is a great idea I have many within the cKY community mostly students of Yogi B and Guru Dev But never would I speak so "knowingly" about another human being who is on their own path And I Am surprised at Yogi B's evaluation I have had many teachers, and they are whom they are, not perfect or even content at many times We are all expressions of God, not matte rwhere we are found on the Path The teacher arrives when the student is ready... > Everyone has a path. Yogi B could also be referring to different paths in terms of the chakras. When a chakra is out of balance - the perspective of the person's 'birth' is through that chakras' challenges. I wouldn't call it a stand in but I would see it as a balancing of energies in that part of the person's path. imo, everyone is exactly where they are because that's where they need to be. Awake or asleep.
Guest guest
Dear Teresa, The essential is You. 'If' you'r awake your blissed. I said 'If', because when awake you seize to be judgmental. Yogi Bhajan was not judgmental, He showed the way & He very much succeeded.
