Guest guest
Question from Surya/Nanda: When we take a sankalpa involving several days (or months like the Sarvaabaadha sankalpa), is it necessary to say a sankalpa each day ? Especially since some of us chant our daily quota of mantras during our commute to various errands/work, and the mantras may be chanted with several breaks during the day. Having to add a sankalpa statement each time seems a bit much especially with the breaks and inability to know how many malas one can complete during the commute. Your help is greatly appreciated. Swamiji's response: No, it is not necessary to verbalize the sankalpa every day. If you take the sankalpa once at the beginning, and then reaffirm it daily through your actions, that will be sufficient. Thanks for your participation. Yesterday for me included about 2.5 hours of commute plus 13 hour day, and that question came up in my mind also.
