Guest guest
Nikhileshwaram Nikhileshwaram Nikhileshwaram We look for the Guru whose thoughts are conform to our own thoughts which we pick up from our society during our upbringing. We associate our existence with those thoughts and philosphies. Some of those may be right and some may be wrong. In a way we want to be Guru of Guru. We will accept someone as Guru only if his thoughts do not cause drastic changes in our previous way of thinking. Change is always threatening psychologically to humans. Sometimes they live with the changed environment clutching their old ideas to their hearts. That kind of change is usually out of complusion. we are usually not in a position to judge whether the change is for good or bad. We do not know if the circumstances before the change were better or they are better after the change. We always look for someone to make us comfortable in the changed situation. There should be someone who should bring out the good things and show us what good has happened after the change. In the general society this job is done by politicians. It depends on the character of the leader is we are shown the real good things or made to live in fool's paradise. Similarly in the spiritual realm also so much depends on The Guru. If the knowledge of Guru is real then we are in safe hands. "Real Knowledge" means knowledge gained with experience, not saying something for the sake of it but backing it with practical authenticity. It should not be just repetition of some previously expressed thoughts of some one else without any idea about the practical implimentability of those ideas. That is the reason why so much has been written about the importance of Guru in spiritual path as well as in materialistic quest. Large portion of all religious books is devoted to Guru only. If we have to remain what we are then we need a Guru and if we have to change then also we need a Guru. Guru means finding our true identity, Guru means finding the aim of our existence, Guru means accepting ourselves in a way we actually are without trying to be like someone else which we are not...... After all thoughts are thoughts only. The way we use them determines whether they are political or spiritual.
