Im new and been reading the messages Thanks everyone.

 

I started chewing the nicorette and became addicted to teh gum!

 

Does anyone have tips on helping to quit smoking?

 

Maybe there are certain practices that would help along with certain

Yoga practices.

 

just wondering as the last post struck a cord with me,

Hi Chris,I quite after 20 yrs of heavy smoking I tried all sorts of ideas that were suppose to help/the only true thing that {worked} is asking my higher power for help-then making a decision that "no matter what" I would not pick up. only then did my mind let go of the I have to smoke message. I know for me that meditation {especially guided} does relieve stress and help the {healing process}. namastae

dear chris

i've found that since i started ashtanga 6 months ago, i've been more mindful with my food intake and my unhealthy habits like smoking.

i've found smoking cessation drugs to be useful in quitting. you might want to speak to your doctor about that.
