Guest guest
Pranam. This is from another group. Could someone pls help? Thank you With Love Shankaree P.s. Happy Pongal to everyone.. Dear Sir, I seek help about a Sanskrit mantra to Goddess Durga. I would sincerely appreciate any help and guidance on the subject. The mantra is generally said as : Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichchai However there are different versions I have come across. I put them here and seek your help about the correct one. 1. Chamundayai / Chamundayei / Chamundaye 2. Vichchai / Vichche / Vichchei 3. Some say that since this mantra includes beejakshars (Aim, Kleem etc.) it should not recited by anyone. If this is so, what is the Durga mantra people in general should do? I am very confused regarding this mantra. Awaiting your expert opinion. Replying to my personal email address will also be appreciated. ( tomb234353 ) Thanks, Tom. Let my every word be a prayer to Thee, Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Thee, Every step I take a circumambulation of Thy image, Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Thee, Every time I lay down a prostration at Thy feet; Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do, Let it all be a form of worshiping Thee." >From Verse 27 of Shri Aadi Shankara's Saundaryalahari Copy addresses and emails from any email account to Mail - quick, easy and free. Guest guest
Dear Shankaree The mantra referred to is navakshari. Sri Mahishamardini comes forth immediately smashing hills and rocks with her mace, herself mounted on a great lion, which springs up with spritely gait and jumps with huge strides. This is what a psychic I know closely saw when this mantra was recited mentally in front of him, his having no idea of what mantra was being recited. This is the force of the mantra, STRICTLY TO BE TAKEN FROM A GURU ONLY;English transcriptions given for the mantra do not give the correct pronunciation. You may do as you wish. I cannot advise you. Guest guest
I am answering not because I know the answer. I feel we should address all such queries. Is it a prayer to Chaamunda to move/manifest?. Then, may be, it is Devnagri "Da" with a a slanted inclined vertical line above and pronounced like Ambey or Maatey etc and the Vichch either abruptly ends as in "Phat" or an elongated Ye is added. ----- - In , Shankaree Ramatas <shankaree wrote: > > Pranam.
