Guest guest
om namah shivaya mantra Aum Namah Shivaye literally translated is "I bow to Shiva". The idea is, that the repetition of the syllables of the Mantra gradually purifies each of the elements in our body. The Mantra has the power to grant wordly fulfillment and spiritual realization. Shiva denotes divine consciousness, in inner self. To further breakdown the elements : Aum consists of five elements: A-U-M (three syllables) bindu (the base, blue pearl) Nada (the resonance that bathes the bindu) Namah Shivaya consists of five elements: Na (prithvi-earth solidity) mah (ap-liquidity of water) shi(tejas -burning fierceness of fire) va(vayu-the air) ya(akasa--space) Five acts of Lord Shiva: -To create -To maintain -To destroy -to conceal -To gracefully reveal Five faces of Lord Shiva: -Na (Indra theeastern face -yellow) -Ma (Rudra, the southern face-black) -shi (Vishnu, the western fce -smoky) -va (Brahmaa, the northern face - golden) -ya (Skanda, the upward face - red) Om Namah Shavaya Shiva Shankara

Guest guest
Hari Om! Hari Om Tat Sat! Dear Shri Kanishk, yes your jiva is right prabhu! The face facing east is known as Tatpurusha and the one facing south as Aghora. Similarly, the faces looking west and north are known by the name Sadhyojaata and Vamadeva respectively. The upper portion of this linga is known as Eesaana. These faces are also defined as the symbol of four dharmas (the most famous places of pilgrimage for Hindus) and four Vedas (sacred books of Hindus). The five mantras that constitute Shiva's body are Sadyojaata, Vaamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha and Eesaana. Eesaana is Shiva not visible to the human eye, Sadyojaata is Shiva realized in his basic reality (as in the element earth, in the sense of smell, in the power of procreation and in the mind). The Vishnudharmottara Purana of the 6th century assigns a face and an element to each of the above mantras. (Sadhyojaata - earth, Vaamadeva - water, Aghora - fire, Tatpurusha - air and Eesaana - space). The names of the deified faces with their elements are Mahadeva (earth), Bhairava (fire), Nandi (air), Uma (water) and Sadasiva (space). Panchamukha lingams have been seen from the 2nd century onwards. However if anyone in this group had Sri Arunanchaleshwara deeksha then there are some more faces representing the Ashta lingams. Subham DinamAstu! Sarvam Sri Krishna ArpanamAstu! kanishk chakravarty <kc3377 > wrote: i thought that lord shiva's five faces were: sadyojat vaamdev aghoresh tatpurush and, ishan kanishk --- lordshivabhakta <no_reply> wrote: > om namah shivaya mantra > > Aum Namah Shivaye literally translated is "I bow > to Shiva". Guest guest
It is said in sceriptures that Kalki will come towards the end of Kaliyuga to destroy evil and set the stage for the dawn of Satyuga. Kaliyuga to be of 435,000 years(approximately, do not remember the exact figure). Kaliyuga approximately set in motion after the end of Mahabharata, Krishna himself heralded the end of Dvaparyuga. Mahabharat happened about 5000BC so about 7000 years ago, that leaves a lot of time before Kaliyuga comes to an end and Kalki will come. That is a very very long time to wait if 435,000 years is correct lifespan of Kaliyuga. If things are so bad today, just imagine how it will be a 100 years now not to think of 400,000 years from now. I just hate to imagine that time. I do also pray to god that HE should reveal himself to the ignorant and hypocrats of this world. Don't know how much more hellish this earth will have to become before HE comes. Regards, Bhupendra. , kanishk <kc3377 wrote: > > i would request all true devotees of lord shiva to pray to him with all > your heart, to help the people of this world....he has different types > of natures....that i have experienced myself....he is > "bakthvatsal"...."kathor"...."bholenath"......it is impossible to > understand his lila's...... > > dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today......every single > moment is precious..... > keep praying dear friend...... > > regards, > kanishk > > yah oo wrote: > > It is up to us to fight all these evil activities.Evil will always > > triump when good man does nothing. > > I have been guilty of not doing much about it. however, trying my best > > to help out in any ways. good day > > > > */kanishk chakravarty <kc3377/* wrote: > > > > thanks, but i also have those mantras, but i would > > like to know the meaning of the > > sadyojat, > > vaamdev, > > aghoresh, > > tatpurush, > > and eeshan > > mantras > > --- b_jamnadas <b_jamna > > <b_jamnadas%40.ca>> wrote: > > > > > From a pdf that I have, the mantras that you > > > mentioned are read at > > > the end of namakam-chamakam recitation and followed > > > in the end by > > > Mantra Pushpam. Guest guest
dear shivbhakts om namo bhagawate rudraya the sadyotham mantra which appears in krishna yajurveda: sadyojatham mantra praises about the creator. vamadeva mantra praises about the preserver. aghora mantra praises about the destroyer. tatpurusha mantra is a mantra to praise such lord who is the creator, preserver and destroyer and seeks his grace. ishana mantra further states that all vidyas (knowledge) is nothing but him only and all sentient beings are him only and one shall see and seek such lord's grace. this is the reason why shivbhakts often say "we bow to the shiva in you". with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun , kanishk <kc3377 wrote: > > i would request all true devotees of lord shiva to pray to him with all > your heart, to help the people of this world....he has different types > of natures....that i have experienced myself....he is > "bakthvatsal"...."kathor"...."bholenath"......it is impossible to > understand his lila's...... > > dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today......every single > moment is precious..... > keep praying dear friend...... > > regards, > kanishk > > yah oo wrote: > > It is up to us to fight all these evil activities.Evil will always > > triump when good man does nothing. Guest guest
I have seen that people in this group are interested in acquiring spiritual knowledge, as if it will change their life for better. Just introspect, look within and you won't need to acquire anything, even knowledge. I am not trying to offend anybody, just reducing the length and breadth of your life of searching. Guest guest
It is extremely simple or extremely difficult depending upon the state of your EGO. Just watch the intentions behind every act of yours honestly, whether it is for ego satisfacton or an automatic act coming out of your being. Everything what ever you have learnt whether in this life or previous life, from family and society needs to be removed from your mind, so that you are open to receive the truth, whenever it decides to come to you. Till we remain product of so many things, differences will be there, as there will be others also with product of different lifetime and experiences, all knowing themselves to be right. Each will try to show oneself superior, and that is the EGO. Till it is there, you are alone in the world. The day it dissolves, you are the BRAMHA. Knowledge is the barrier to the truth, because knowledge is of ego and truth will be seen only by a pure person without ego, wih full accepatance of what life is - with no prejudice, no condemnation, only acceptance and gratitude of being alive as a part of the universal life. Guest guest
until we look within we will not know, our questions will also be answered when we look within, the whole universe is within. Basically looking within is to look at how we are connected to the universe and how everything is connected to each other. This can be achived by meditation by focusing on the god or focusing on our chakras. God Bless, Love and Light, Divakar. --- charu jagat <charu_jagat (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: > Ahhhhh.............Panditji, > > Within sits the Lord..........in a circle of > bliss...........and he can handle all the > perspectives you mentioned......... > > xxxxxxxxxx > > Tarini > > Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj > wrote: > Namaskaar > > "Just introspect, look within and you won't need > to acquire anything, even knowledge.
