Dear Mr.Pathak,

I am sorry but i am not agree with your views.Experience has more worth in comparison to so called thumb rule.If small pieces are not useful than how can small pieces of Diamond or Gemstones in Navratna ring be significant?Mere two carat of flawless Gemstone is more powerful or effective in place of five carat minor flaw Gems.I saw number of persons wearing seven to eight carat flawfull Gemstones who have complaint about the result of said Gemstones. Are Puranas are not authentic? I think Puranas have more worth in comparison to current books.

God bless

Dear Mr. Shekhar,

I beg to differ that you can use smaller pieces of the gemstones to get the

same result as from a 5 carat stone. In my practice it does not work at all.

It is more ornamental than anything else. The thumb rules are used in Stone

prescription. There is hardly any classical astrological basis for Gemstone

remedy except in Ayurveda and Puranas. So the weight has to be decided as

per the knowledge passed down from people who have used them.

Yes 5 carat becomes expensive for flawless gems. I would say go for 5 carat

of gem with some minor flaws rather than go for smaller pieces. They just do

not work. This I have dealt in my book"BOOK OF GEMSTONES" published by

Sagar Publications, New Delhi. If you lay hadns upon this book...you can

read the relevant chapter.
