Guest guest
Hatribol On Makara Sankranti, Jan 14th when the gates of heaven open and the days get longer by a til ( sesame seed) daily and the sun moves to the north.,a Gujarati family who have a big shop in our small town of Roha and who read about us and our cows in a Gujarati magazine made a visit with a feast for our cows of bajra, gur, poha and rice bran to celebrate Sankranti. A very nice surprise. A local Ayurvedic doctor and his wife who manufacture ayurvedic medicines are buying all the cow urine we can bring them at Rs 10 a litre, They soak their seeds and roots and herbs in it and then dry and powder to make them more potent. They are also buying our cow dung cakes to make the slow fire for preparing bhasmas etc , rate to be decided. So we are very happy that we can utilise cow urine and cow dung in this way. We anyway make and use and sell vermicompost and the slurry from the gobar gas. and spray our trees with cow urine and water for pest repellent. Our herd numbers 48.
