Dear Friends,

I wanted to make you aware that Sri Michael Bowes' three part story (The

Guru Came As Ramu) about his visit to India in 1992 on the old blog has

now been transferred to the new wordpress blog www.luthar.com. It makes

for interesting reading.

After you reach the site by clicking , scroll down

and look at the categories on the left hand side until you see the

category "Michael Bowes" and click on it. Michael wrote those articles

last year in January and the conclusion was written in April of last year.

Namaste and love to all

Pranams Shankaree-Ji:

Thank you for your kind note. I am glad you found the site

informative. Please do feel free to pass it on to

persons on the spiritual path who may be interested. In the next several

months, I am planning to write an article on Devi. However, the thought

occurred to me that someone in this group dedicated to Shakti-Sadhana

would be more qualified and knowledgeable to do it.

I would love to put an article (or several articles) on Devi with

beautiful pictures of Her different aspects. Ideally, articles that have

the least amount of technical Sanskrit have the broadest appeal among

Hindus and Non-Hindus.

So I invite all the distinguished members who have either written

articles on the Supreme Goddess or would like to please contact me if

you would like to put it on as a guest author. I

would be happy to have your picture and link to your website on the article.

The best articles that are accessible to everyone are written in a

simple straight forward way with subheadings and pictures. Anyway, that

is the model that I have started to follow recently and it seems to be

more successful.

Thank you,

Namaste and Love to all

*Dear Friends:

Gabriele Ebert is a well known to us a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Ramana

and has written a wonderful interfaith article on "Icon Painting As A

Spiritual Path" which now has been posted to

Gabriele is a German librarian, scholar, and a painter. For information

on her books and German translations, please go to the bottom of the

article.

Gabriele is a long term member of and has been active in

Sri Ramana groups for many years. She has served as an inspiration and a

role model for all of us with her dedication to the interfaith approach

to spirituality. The Icons in this article are simply stunning and

beautiful! Thank you Gabriele for your generous sharing of this

treasure. I am sure many people will enjoy the article and explore the

spiritual path of paintings through it.

My apology for not changing the subject line of the last e-mail. The

article that I was mentioning is by Gabriele Ebert and not Michael Bowes.

Dear Llundrub

Thank you for the consideration. Shakti-Sadhana and Tantra are broad

fields. If an article has its foundations in the Shakti and Tantric

literature of India with scholarly references, it can make a

contribution. There are many great scholars and practitioners here on

this list and I would welcome if anyone would like to write an article

about some aspect of the Supreme Goddess who is the beauty and grace of

consciousness and bestows Self-Knowledge upon the devotees.

Namaste with love and respect for all

Dear Friends,

You can view the article on the Advaita Teacher Nisargadatta Maharaj by Dr. Lakshyan Schanzer on

The permanent link to the article is

This classic article is based on Dr. Schanzer's 1978 trip to India and his visits to several Gurus including Nisargadatta Maharaj. The article has many excellent pictures of Nisargadatta Maharaj.

Enjoy and feel free to forward the link to others.

Dear Friends,

You can view the article, "Is Enlightenment Personal?" now on

.

The permanent link to the article is

2007/02/19/is-enlightenment-personal/

This article is an edited update of an earlier post on the old HS blog.

I have added many nice pictures by our friend Alan Larus to make the

article easier to read. I don't know if it worked on not.

Enjoy and feel free to forward the link to others interested in Advaita,

Enlightenment, Nonduality, etc/.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. Thanks.

Love to all and Namaste
