Dear members

I thank Sriman Vsaudevan swami for his details on Sage Rishyasringa.

Recently I visited Hampi in Karnataka for exploring Vijaynagar ruins

ancient Hindu Kingdon Head quarters in South India. This place is

described as Kishkinda. There is Anjanarthi hills birth place of Hanuman

on banks of the river Tungapatra and a place identified as Sugriva's

hiding place from Vali ( Rishimukh Parvadam )near Hampi.I was told this

region was the old Pumpa and Tungaputra is Pumpa river.

According to Ramayanam ( Both Vanmiki and Kambhan ) Hanuman with

accompany team assigned for South searched Vidhabha for a clue of Sita's

whereabouts on south bound travel.Vidarbha is in Maharashtra, this region

adjoining Madya pradesh. He could not have visited the current Vidarbah

on travelling southwards from Kishkinda. Your advices on this.

Also In Kambha Ramayanam Kishkinda Kantam Hanuman after meeting Swayam

praba on the way in search of Sita extracted a big piece of land with

the entire battalion of Vanaras standing on it and threw it on the

western seas. This he did it to come out of the cave as the entire team

got stuck there and he took Vishwa rupam to carry out this.Kambar says

this place is known as Pilat thivu ( PILAM island ) and still exists

when he wrote Kamba Ramayanam twelve cenutries ago.If so which one is

Pilam now?

If it is western should it be in Arabian Sea? In Valmiki Ramayan Swayam

Prabha takes out this team from the cave by her Tapas power for them to

continue their assigned task quickly.

Your clarification requested on this.

With besr regards and Namaskarams.

Ravi.
