Abaya PradhAnam is the vow of the Lord with KodhaNdam in His hand .

 

Sri Raaman is Sarva Loka SaraNyan .He is saluted by Brahma Devan as

"Aksharam Brahma sathyam cha" ( Raamaa ! Thou art eternal and do not

undergo any changes ) . He is Sarva VilakshaNa Para Brahmam ( One with

a Vaibhavam that is quite different from and superior to all Gods) .He is

the top most among SaraNAgatha Rakshakans and the SaraNAgathy performed

by the DevAs ( Baala KaaNDam ) , LakshmaNan (AyOdhyA KaanDam) , KaakAsuran ,

Samudhra Rajan , VibhishaNan ( Yuddha KaaNDam) --- all these SaraNAgathys are

SamarTa KaaruNeeka Vishaya SaraNAgathy ( the SaraNAgathy performed at

the feet of an adhikAri with sakthi and KaruNai). His svabhAvam and PrabhAvam is

all about protecting those , who seek His protection .

 

HanumAn , the Parama Bhakthan of Sri Ramachandran sums up the unique

feautures of Lord Ramachandra this way :

 

dhvi: Saram nAbhisandhatthE dhvi: sTApayathy nAsrithAn

dhvir-dhadhAthy na chArTibhyO RaamO dvir-nAbhibhAshathE

 

(Meaning ) : My Lord Raamn never sets His arrow twice.He does not

engage twice in the establishment of those who sought His refuge.

He does not give twice to those who sought His help .He does not speak

twice about any subject .Since He completes every thing that needs to be

taken care of , there is no need for retrying or repetition .

 

One of the famous slOkam sumamrizes His heroism as Raghuveeran:

 

" Lord Raamachandra laid siege on the eve of PourNami ,

got released from the Naaga Paasam , killed DhUmrAksahn ,

Vajra dhamshtran , Akampanan, Prahasthan and broke the

crown of RaavaNan , used BrahmAsthram to destroy KUmbhakarNan,

AthikAyan , Kumbhan , MakarAkshan , Indhrajith and in three

days time killed RaavaNa and his army ". Such is the valour of

the Kodhanda Raaman at VaduvUr .
