If the official ISKCON calendar mentions every tithi described in any currently circulating editions of any purana we would have a very complicated calendar indeed! We like to stick with just the events that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur thought fit to include in his calendar, plus newer ones relevant to ISKCON. Others are more than welcome to provide these kinds of services to the devotees. I am sure Mercury transit information is readily available on the web. Tithi information is already available with VCal. Your servant, Bhaktarupa Das PS. Aren't all these kinds of pious benefits already included in nam sankirtan? > > As stated in Hari Bhakti Vilasa by Sanatana Goswami: Text 180 > > > > kim ca skande vasistha-mandhatr-samvade > > > > sukla-pakse yada rajan, trtiya budha-samyuta > > sravanena maha-bhaga, tulasi cati-punyada. iti. > > > > kim- ca-furthermore; skande vasistha-mandhatr"-samvade-in the > > Skanda > > Purana, Vasistha Muni tells King Mandhata; sukla-pakse-on the sukla > > paksa; yada-when; rajan-O king; trtiya-third; budha-samyuta-with > > mercury; sravanena-with Sravana; maha-bhaga-O very fortunate one; > > tulasi-Tulasi; ca-an; ati--punyada-giving great piety; iti-thus. > > > > In the Skanda Purana, Vasistha Muni tells King Mandhata: > > > > "O very fortunate king, Tulasi-devi gives great pious benefits to anyone > > who worships her on a third tithi of the sukla-paksa when Mercury is > > conjoined with the star Sravana."
