Guest guest
Yes, Vish, Chris, Nanda and Surya -- heartfelt, inspiring and wonderful experiences with the peace mantra sankalpa. We are grateful. Inspired by the ongoing heart-filled sharing of others in the on-line group, we shared the inspiration of these experiences in our last post. In light of Vish's and Tanmaya's invitations to reflect and dialogue on the blessing of spreading the this prayer practice for peace, here are some reflections on what made these experiences possible for us. Shree Maa offered the blessing of an intention, a prayer and a sankalpa that, along with Swami's multifaith-sensitive translation, has a natural capacity to invite unity: so many already long and pray for peace in this world, as Vish points out, that running full speed ahead with this torch involves relatively minor, if any, hurdles. We received the blessing and torch, and - also encouraged by the enthusiasm of local Devi Mandir brother Sadananda - felt moved to run with it and aim to pass it along in a simple way to people we know who are open to chanting for inner and outer peace, those with whom we practice kirtan. This is a non-denominational chanting group that could relate to the possibility and might be interested in joining the fun. Learning with Shree Maa and Swami's teachings, examples, blessings and sadhana over the years energizes a devotional commitment to an intention of peace -- ever-present and definitely present in this case. As we aimed to reflect in the last post, the excellent resource of this on-line satsang with its generous sharings -- the continual flow of sweet and well-lit reflections of devotion and wisdom from family around the world along with Nanda's generosity, organization and clarity -- also added to the energy of possibility, so that we could swiftly and easily organize a simple way to pass the torch to others clearly, concisely and with love. Yes, Tanmaya, there was energetic transformation and burgeoning in this experience of sharing the Mother's energy with others -- a crossing of a threshold together into the realm of spirit where love really does make the miracle of joyful unity. It's exhilarating and empowering to help motivate such unfolding, to see what's possible, to know we can all do it again with a little effort. With an awareness of being enveloped and protected by Mother's supreme grace -- the same unshakeable love and blessing with which Chandi slays Self-Conceit, Self-Deprecation and the great thought Impossible (chapter 11) -- it is energizing and fun to join the flow with unshakeable love, faith and fearlessness that miracles are possible! May the Devi Mandir family continue to unify in the loving flow that emanates from Her gentle hands, inspire towards The Possible, and spread the blessings. Jai Maa........Jai Swami.......Jai Peace
