Question from Durga:

In chapter 11 of the Chandi Path the Goddess offers the Gods whatever

blessing they desire for the benefit of the world. They make the request

of the mantra we're chanting for the 2007 sankalpa.

 

For that recitation, you've recommended inhaling while saying om namah

shivayah and then pronouncing the mantra on the out-flowing breath.

 

If there's a relationship between the choice of om namah shivayah and

the Gods being the source of that mantra/prayer, would you please

describe it?

No, there is no specific relationship. I chose that mantra because it is

the shortest and easiest and most universally applicable. You could also

use your Guru Mantra, or any other mantra that you find applicable.
