Guest guest
Namaste In my past, I was a part of the groups meditating together for world peace. I lived in Fairfield Iowa for 19 years to be part of the group there. TM reported many positive results over the last 20 years due to these group sankalpas. Right now, in Fairfield Iowa and Washington D.C, the TM Movement of Maharishi has a large number of TMers meditating and performing advanced siddhis in order to help bring peace to this world. They plan their lives around taking time twice a day to meditate in large groups. Their sankalpa involves only practicioners of TM. There is room in this world for all folks who wish to have peace in this world. I pray God hears their prayers. This world needs all the help She can get. I am so happy our sankalpa is reaching so many wonderful souls around the world, of different faiths and creeds. What a blessing to be able to communicate to the entire world thru this medium. We all want to do everything we can to maximize the power and effectiveness of this sankalpa. To that end, I humbly offer several techniques I use daily. I agree with you all that stating the intention and praying / meditating on the intention is very valuable. Some other possibilities: 1. when I perform daily Shiva and Durga puja, and take the sankalpa as part of it, I always add the statement regarding the group peace sankalpa, to remind Shiva and Durga, that we all sre offering it as well as my puja to Them. I ask They accept and magnify the effects of the mantra for this entire universe and the 3 worlds. 2. when I begin the mantra itself, I ask Maa to accept our group recitation, and magnify it for the entire creation and the 3 worlds. I ask to link up with Her, and all Good-ness in creation, in order to keep my ego out of the way, and let Her and all the Gods take over. Swami has told me several times that the power of imagination is very great. So, I to visualize the Earth, filled with love and peace and harmony, and see the waves of bliss and light circle around the world. When we really focus on these abstractions, they begin to come true. And the more we lead simple, truthful lives, being servants of circumstance, as it says in the Gita, the power of these visualizations increases and Mother Earth heals. We are in a great and powerful time of change in this world, and most importantly, we are trying to act in accord with Maa and Swami's desire: to bring peace to the 3 worlds. With Maa and Swami leading the way, truth will triumph.
