Guest guest
He wants to know : Is Devi Gita (written in 1500 AD) a word of God(dess) or just a man- made imitation of Bhagavad Gita? Devi Gita claims Vishnu "worshipped" to the Devi: "Thus ordering the Devas, Visnu with His consort Laksmî and the other Devas quickly went out to worship the Devî" It also says Vishnu "seconded" him: "Visnu and all the other Devas gladly seconded him" Yet Devi Gita also says Devi is actually Vishnu! "I am Brahmâ, Visnu, and Mahes'vara; I am the Brâhmâ, Vaisnavi and Raudrî S'aktis." So is Devi Visnu or if it "contains" Vishnu How can Vishnu "seconded" or worshipped Devi?!?!?!?! and Devi Gita says: "If anybody, getting up in the morning, recite the names of these places, all his sins would instantly be burnt away." Isn't that so simplistic and manly? Just "recite" some place names and all of your sins have gone! Devi Gita says: "So the Guru must be served with all the cares that are possible by body, mind, and word one should always please Him. Otherwise he becomes ungrateful and he is not saved." Guru is to be worshipped!!!!! What do you think about that? You can read the Devi Gita here: http://www.astrojyoti.com/devigita.htm Thank you. Guest guest
Thank you Tulasi for responding to this message. I never thought anybody would bother about this guy's message. I thought its meant to provoke us. But im sure your beautiful respond, somebody else will find it meaningful. Now I have responded privately to this guy via private email. This is my reply : A seeker went to ask a sage for guidance on the Sufi way. The sage counseled, "if you have never trodden the path of love, go away and fall in love; then come back and see us." Guest guest
I think this guy is an Idiot, lets compare Islam and Shakta tradition. I mean not to say one is better than the other, but to simply suggest that these paths should always be considered in their own contexts and never studied from a relativistic sense, as it would certainly cause a lot of unwanted conflicts with the student. In Islam there is a belief that the Creator, being Absolute is seperate from the Creation. That in fact the Angles, Jinn and Human beings are different from one another and most definetly different [especially in rank] to their maker. God gave life, God takes life, Man can only do his karmas and continue along until Akhira. In most thoughts within Shakta paramparas there is the belief that creation exists within the creator and that the creator enriches all creation with HER tattva. This is the atman. So all beings have the unique gift of actualizing their identity as the supreme power. Maa Gives life, Maa takes life, Man can find mukti within their lifetime. That fundamental rift in cosmology would be enough to suggest delusion on the account of anyone who tries to address Shakta texts from an Islamic standpoint. Further without engaging in trivial debate, I must say that most Muslims would not find their prayers valid without reciting the Tashshahud. Which infact is acknowledgement of their bhakti parampara. We do ours differently. Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.
