We may have difficulty in understanding this and defining on the basis of out little experience, still there is something to tell us that answers and destination come through sadhna only] Needy and deprived should be helped more or less as per the ability. A beggar fend off without giving anything takes away some “punya” (accumulated good karma) of that person. Guest guest
Helping needy is a good thing but I never appreciate beggers. I have been on road (yes, nights on road) but i never begged for money. If anything, beg for work so that one earns through karma, not being a leech on someone. Even if u cut my one hand and leg, i still wont beg for money and become leech on someone. About helping a begger, if u really want to help a begger then ask him why he is begging... give him meal for that time (yes, only meal not money, begging is becoming a proffesion in poor ppl, dont promote begging) and advice him on how to get work to earn or if possible get him employed through ur contacts. Also if one helps a begger, then it should be bcoz u want to help him, not so that u be helped by god in return of that action coz its about "u" being light at heart, its about "u" having real desire to give, thats ur "punya". As lord Shiva says "Daya, Tap, Daan Shama". If u force "punya" due to fear, then u create a hypocricy within, thats worse. If the "vritti" doesnt change but "karma" changes then it creates a serious conflict within. One part of mind (1/10 conscious) controls the other part (9/10 sub-conscious. Human birth is meant to solve/improve the 9/10 subconscious where desire/vasnas etc reside, human body (especially brain, (brain is not the mind)) provides highest level of consciousness out of all the Yonis. Bondage is only by mind bcoz Vrittis/desires r by mind. Knowledge is required to direct and make the conscious mind efficient in changing the sub-conscious (Yogic Method). "Guru = Jo Gyan de". Thats the very basic defination, without knowledge nothing is possible. Thats why Lord Shiva says in Shiva Sutras "By means of a guru" and "Knowledge liberates". (Also conscious mind is developed mind, at birth there is no conscious critical part, sanskras are inscribed only on part of subconscious (Mordern Mind part of Sub-conscious). All this Sadhnana (Agam (Dakshin Margi or Vaam Margi) or Nigam(Yoga), meditation, prayer, worships... are means/techniques to solve/purify mind and hence get beyond the mind. Mantra is nothing but means of binding the "Man" mind in a specific vibration and Tantra is the system of using that vibration, Yantra is the physical tool used to dipict it and store it. And only guru is the one who teaches these techniques. If god wants to teach us, he takes form of guru. Thats why in guru aarti is said "Bhram Vishnu Sadashiv guru Murat Dhari, ved puran Bhakhanat Guru Mahima Bhari" Ok not going into details, but the basic thing i wanted to say is, plz dont promote beggers and self-hypocricy. If ur trying to force a pure "vritti" in urself (which is a good thing to do, this become yogic method) then make sure its not out of fear or pressure, it should be bcoz of ur own logic that yes, thats what should be done, so i want to change myself. Or else tranformation is not possible. , ajay sharma <a_sh_r wrote: > > Nikhileshwaram Nikhileshwaram Nikhileshwaram > > [These are words of a high order Yogi of Siddashram.
