Learning Swaram of Sri Rudram

Pranams to all,

I've learnt Sri Rudram and recite it regularly. Many advised me not to

recite it without swara as swara is extremely important for vedic mantras.

But the urge to learn was strong and not knowing whom to approach to

learn Sri Rudram with swara I've learnt it on my own. I try to ensure that

I don't recite mantras wrongly but referred to 7-8 books that I have to

ensure that there are no print mistakes. I also verified with many audio

files on the web to avoid mistakes.

I want to learn Swara and recite Sri Rudram the right way. I request you

all to refer me to somebody in Hyderabad who can help me learn Swara of Sri

Rudram. I am visiting India for a month in March for my marriage and desire

to learn swara during my visit. I do not know how long it will take to

learn the Swaram for somebody who knows the text already by heart but if its

possible to learn in short term I would definitely like to dedicate some

time during my visit.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Mahesh

PS: I am based in Foster City (San Francisco Bay Area), California. If

there is somebody here who can help me I would love to learn from him/her

too.

to Magesh,

you can go to sankar mutt, hyderabad, meet the chief

vadyar,he will guide you properly on learning Rudram .

classes are being conducted, you can attend the

patasala for proper learning.

when you go back to CA you can have tele

conference,distant education thro him .

as Guru Dhakshina you can donate one unit of computer

with all telefacilities and teach him with local

associates.you can recover the cost from CA ...you can

become a local guru in your place!

think seriously .

give me a feed back.

Mahesh,

If you are unable to do what Parthasarathy is

suggesting, I'd recommend listening to the version

sung by Challakere Brothers. The album is Paratpara

Parameshwara. I haven't heard a better recital of the

Rudram from anyone else.

Best,

Vijay

Surya,

Nope, I don't have a link. Google for it - you are

likely to find some seller.

This might be one option:

http://www.kannadaaudio.com/Songs/Devotional/home/ChallakereBrothers.php

Dear atmic brother,

Parathpara means unmanifested in the supra cosmic, supra natural,

supra mental and beyond imagination through manas, buddhi, intellect

and the so-called self-realization.

Whatever we think or experience thro' manas/buddhi/intution we

experience the silent 'I'ness beyond. Parathpara is the innermost if

contemplate or the outermost if you imagine.

Para means is that which is beyond I (three sthithees).

Brahma means the manas in you; Parabrahma means the all-pervading in

entirity of the visible creation.

Jnana/Buddhi is vishnu in you; Paramathma is the basis for the visible

world and the supeme wisdom to create or sustain this cosmos and

Jagat. Jagat is Ja+gath which means 'coming' and 'going' in the three

states of life visible to our eyes or not.

Parama pita is the Eeswara; the Jeevam is given by your father. Prama

pita is also called parama purusha. Lord Eeswara is the only

paramapurusha. Param pita created paramathma, the lord Vishnu who is

the embodiment/entirity of Atma Jnana. Paramathma is the source of all

creation for the invisible and visible creation. Paramathma is both

purusha (aprakrutham) and sthree (prakruthi). Parabrahma is sthree

thathvam (prakruthi). 'Sthree' is 'sa+tha+ra+ee' which means the

combination of sathva, rajas, thamo gunas in the vikruthi

rupa. Prakruthi is the creation of parabrahma. Vikruthi is nothing but

vignana created by manava. For e.g., air is created by Brahma fan is

created by man. Fan breeze gives vikaara (vikruthi) whereas the

original air/breeze gives happiness (prakruthi). Everything in

Prakruthi takes us to atma saakshaathkara. I will deal this seperately

on query.

When 'iha' (present status) is controlled then para (that which is

beyond) is understood.

Truly speaking everything is in you. Just unenvelop through determination.
