Guest guest
Sat Nam, The instructions say to chant this meditation in monotone. Can you sing it? I have a CD with this chant on it. Basically, I am looking for a mantra that will stop me from being annoyed most of the time. Blessings Sat Kirtan
Guest guest
Dear Sat Kirtan Kaur, You can chant it with a CD. Try it both ways and see which you like the best. Maybe one way will annoy you and the other you will find allows you to tune into the sound better. It is important to pump the navel point and to feel the rhythm of the mantra in the body. You need to feel and listen to the mantra in your body as you recite it. You have to do this when you chant monotone. Sometimes we get distracted and listen to the music instead of our own voice when we use a CD. Then the effect is less internal. This meditation will open up a deep silent space inside your head. After doing the meditation, sit quietly and listen to this silent space and feel it in your body. Notice that this space is totally neutral. Neutral never gets annoyed. When you get triggered remember this neutral space. Train yourself to go there instead of to the reactive mode.
