Guest guest
There are many verses in our books which we often quote but often don't know its source. It would be good to try to discover as much as those verse's source as possible. Here is one of those, often quoted by Srila Prabhupada: Tamaso ma - jyotir gama Well, I found it on the net: "The Brhadaranyaka Upanishad announces in its First Chapter the prayer Pavamana-Abhyaroha, meaning: an ‘Elevated Chant’." This prayer is as follows: Om asato ma sad gamaya; Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya; Mrtyor ma amritam gamaya. The meaning of this Mantra is: ‘Lead me from the unreal to the Real; Lead me from darkness to Light; Lead me from mortality to Immortality.’ yspda
