Guest guest
Namaste Thanks for the great post. Surrender to Maa is the core teaching at the Mandir. Over and over, in every instant I can recall, Maa and Swami seek to help us surrender. One great channel for surrender is Seva. It is a great way to perform all action. If we are really serving, really trying to give our 100% best, and not be attached to the fruits of our actions, then we begin to surrender. If we perform seva, while being totally present, that is TRUE KARMA YOGA- action performed in union. Action which enriches the entire universe. Suffering has a difficult time overtaking and overcoming one "ESTABLISHED IN BEING AND PERFORMING ACTION". As in the Gita, Arjuna has to perform the highest action, killing his enemies, his own relatives, in a battle to preserve dharma. Krishna tells him to surrender to his dharma. As a warrior, he was trained to fight, and as a leader, he was honor bound to protect the dharma. As Swami describes the real battle, the battle going on inside each of us every moment, we have to fight to overcome and destroy the forces of duality inside us-too much, too little, the great ego, attachment to the body and suffering: all the forces which seek to keep us from experiencing our dharma-our highest ideal of perfection-union with God. We are warriors, trained by Maa and Swami, in the art of puja, prayer, homa, japa. These are the weapons we use to stop the mind and present it, stilled and quiet, at the feet of Maa. Then She, as Chandi, will cleanse it, and destroy all duality, and save us from ourselves. I can't imagine a world without Her. We are so blessed to have Her in our life. Just think back thru all the trials in our lives, and we will see Her standing over us, with hands raised in blessing over us, protecting and guiding us. This is the image of Her I carry in my heart. I hope you can find a way to share that with your clients. May She bless you in your work.
