Guest guest
Hi, I,m new in meditation. Since 2 monthes I met a monk buddhist from Tibet and he start to help me resolving some problems. But since I start with him I feel during the day waves entering in my head and these waves are sometime very strong and sometime very soft. I asked him why this is happening with me but his answer was not so clear to me. Please if anyone can give me an answer I will be very greatful. Why I feel these waves? What are these waves? Thank you. Star.

Yogiraj Vethathiri Maharishi is my Guru. Guru ve Thunai! Lets consider a flower. Is it a thing or a happening. Though the flower seems to be stable to our eyes, it is made up of atoms. Atoms consists of protons, neutrons and electrons( they got these names based on their speed. Its another concept). But for our discussion, that flower is now a cluster of atoms(infinitesimal energy particles, Right!). So the flower is not stable really. Its changing for every microsecond. The same thing applies for this whole Universe. Every thing is a cluster of atoms. If anything rotates, then there will be waves(magnetic). The whole universe is filled with electromagnetism(Invisble x rays, gamma rays and cosmic rays....). But Organic living beings have biomagnetism. The difference is only in the name. If that magnetism is bounded within a human body, then it is called biomagnetism. Head is the crown chakra(brain i.e., thousand petals lotus. Scientifically it can act as a tranceiver. So if one has good yogic practices, then he could get anything from this Universal power. For that we have to reduce our mental frequency to 1-3 cycles per second (delta freq). Only then the secrets of this Universe will be revealed. You have told that some waves are entering your head. Certainly its the cosmic energy entering. That energy will be converted into biomagnetic waves. ( At this place, think about what mind and soul is). I will give you a clue( that is, mind records everything. So some magnetism should be involved in our memory power as like video tapes or micro chips, but mind cant be seen). Cosmic energy are the waves from other planets and stars(They are also made up of Pancha Boothas or else called atoms, but in different propositions). While meditation we are connecting with that Universal power. Ok now this is enough. Please dont accept my sayings only upto your knowledge level. I feel I have some what done upto my level. Thank you. Please reply.
Guest guest
firstly, To 'etoile du jour' [i hope you are so], A master could be dangerous. A disciple is in complete surrender to the Master, if He does not have a comprehensive knowledge, He is dangerous. L'habit ne fait pas le Moine, [i presume you master French language] Symptoms, such as yours, may accompany the un-tying of knots [psychological that is.] you may, as well, laugh or cry. secondly, to padma_Anita, the transformation of matter into nonmatter complicates the situation. A rose is an expression of life, Human Being is an expression of life. Life is intelligence riding everywhere on chemicals [molecules], intelligence can take the form of a thought or a molecule. There is some hidden transformation happening that turns a thought into a molecule, the transformation doesn't take any time & doesn't happen in any place it just appears, suddenly localized in time & space. The case of 'Etoile du Jour' is brain cells. chemical molecules. Sat Nam Nabil Rizqallah Beirut Lebanon
Guest guest
Dear Star, I suggest you ask the Monk. He meditates deeply and his state of mind is affecting yours. It is not a bad thing. I suggest also that you simply experience what you are feeling and be with it. Look, listen, feel and pay attention inside your head and inside your body. In this way you will be able to tune into higher states of milnd. The best way to sabotage a good experience is to try to explain it. Then opps we have lost our higher connection. Guest guest
Sat Nam Star, In the early days when Yogi Bhajan first came to the West to teach this sacred science he prescribed 6 months of an Abdominal Strengthening set. This was to set the foundation for a balanced experience. Please read Gururattan's page on Kundalini and Navel center at http://kundaliniyoga.org/kyt09.html Study it! I encourage you to do Nabhi Kriya or, at the very least, begin your everyday with the "Wake up Series" which employs stretch pose. Without a strong Navel center we cannot penetrate and move through "the cycle" completely. Without a strong Navel we get stuck. You can have a teacher or even a Master, but any good teaching will teach you how to become your own Master. Guest guest
Dear Star, Ask him to give you energy that make you feel awake and grounded. Just head energy is ungrounded. Also you can certainly ask him to stop or cool it a bit. Just because he has found what works for him, doesn't mean it is what works for you. You need to walk, exercise, do navel exercises and other grounding exercises so the head energy distributes through your body. Don't just sit there and try to meditate. Everyone has different experiences and yours will be different tomorrow. So deal with what is going on at the moment and integrate it through activity. Action, activity, doing things for yourself, saying what you need will build more internal yang energy. You have to get this yourself and not through someone else. Guest guest
Dear Star and Gururattana: What if the brain waves are just the result of being in the new energy? I am not sure the Buddhist monk is necessarily making them happen. So please ask him if he is doing anything first. Communicate with him. But in the end Star, you are the one with the power to integrate what is coming to you. You have the power to ground yourself if that's what you need. Your experience could simply be that for the first time you are becoming aware of yourself as energy. His presence may just help you come to this awareness. Then all you need is to keep feeling it. Open yourself to the sensations while feeling the effect of gravity in you (to keep you grounded). Doing yoga kriyas to strengthen the lower triangle (1st three chakras) would be great! Second, since few days I ask the buddhist Monk about these waves and he said that this energy, he send it to me. I feel sometime these waves so stong that I can't move anymore my head and I feel that I want to sleep but with the sensation that i'm not feeleing well and yesterday it was so strong that after a while I vomit and this is not the first time. When I told The Monk about all what I feel he said that is normal because I'm full of yin and my body is responding this way when the the yin and the yang start to be balanced and these symptoms will desapear after a while. I will wait and see. But did someone you know have feel the same thing that I feel? What I know about meditation is that is a method to relax the boby and feel well. It's strange what happens to me. Once more, thank you very much. Star
Guest guest
If that's the case, Star, you are the one with the power to ask the monk for what you need. You don't have to let him send you energy as he does or you can as you wish. You can also let him know if you'd like him to decrease the intensity or let you rest a while to integrate at your own rhythm. I don't know anyone who is letting or has let someone else send them energy in the way that you describe. I have received energy from others and it helped me stay awake after hours of driving when I entered a storm where I could not see more than a few yards ahead of me because it was dark and it was snowing so hard. I did not know that I was sent energy until they told me later. I was just aware how sharp I felt and how easy it was to drive under the circumstances. I remember feeling astounded several times, like I was a superhuman. Like the difficulties were not affecting me. But the energy sent never gave me any painful side effects. Guest guest
Hey Awtar and Star, Sat Nam, It may not be all that bad to vomit or feel nausea. So many cultures, particularly those close to the earth have in their "artwork" characters that have varying expressions of catharsis. Be it the bottom figures on the totem pole from the people of Northwest Haida or Tlingit nations, or the various Buddhist deities. Most have their tongues sticking out and maybe even the eyes bulging. Also, if you ever read Carlos Castaneda or experienced peyote directly yourself you'll know that getting nauseous and/or throwing up is prerequisite before the higher aspect of the process. I myself had Yogiji prescribe for me to do 2.5 hours of Sat Kriya several years ago. After just a couple of attempts at times much, much shorter than 2.5 hours I found myself getting a strange kind of nausea at a couple of points in the day. My bottom jaw felt like it was floating and I did regurgitate my lunch but it was not an unpleasant nausea at all. It just came on kinda of all of a sudden and I had to head for the bushes quickly. I felt just fine afterward. The sensation in my lower jaw I think had to do with us men having one of our two "moon centers" there and maybe I was clearing away some excessive emotionality. I have to add that I do have a pretty steady Sadhana (not to mention "gagging" as part of my morning bathroom routine) so these things can just come and go.
