Dear Karuna purna prabhu

 

Please accept my humble obeisances, All glories to Srila Prabhupada

 

I read in your article on dandavats or chakra that you wished to start

drinking milk again so you buy pasteurised milk and pray for the cow that gave

this milk. I am sure Krishna is already taking care for this cow, not that

because you pray for her then only will the Lord notice her.. But you could

pray for forgiveness because you are supporting the dairy industry by paying

money to them for the milk and you are therefore involved in the misery and

deaths of the cows and calves. Of course you will say since the milk is

offered to Krsna there is no reaction. and devotees are free from karmic

reaction. But you are still supporting the dairy industry and their practices

even if there is no reaction for you. And this milk is full of antibiotics

and hormones as they cannot factory farm these cows any other way. So it is

anyway very unhealthy to drink it. Better the devotees increase their go

seva and agriculture to engage the oxen so they can afford to drink a glass

of pure milk.from a protected cow.
