Namaste Brian,

Welcome and Namaste.

The Devi Mandir web site: http://www.shreemaa.org has many classes

archived on many diverse topics. For example, how to perform puja:

guided meditation on God, i.e.: Shiva, Kali, Durga, etc., how to

perform homa, sacred fire ceremony. How to chant.

In addition, every evening at 6:30 PM, Swami teaches a live on-lime

class on the Gita. It is tremendous. And, every Sunday at 9:30 AM,

we chant the Chandi with Maa and Swami for 2.5 hours at the sacred

fire in the Temple. Chanting the Chandi is a very powerful sadhana.

We also invite you to join our 1 year sankalpa-{commitment}, to chant

100,000 mantras, per person, for world peace. On the web site, there

is a sound clip of Maa chanting a very power Devi mantra from the

Chandi. Visit the site and learn the mantra, and you can join our

group and chant at your home daily.

There is so much that Shree Maa and Swami offer to help us grow in our

relationship with God.

Swami and Maa have translated many ancient texts for worship, and they

are sold on the web site, along with instructional videos, singing

CD's by Maa, etc.

Please share more details of your sadhana, and let us know your

spiritual goals and we can guide you to the proper support materials.

This club is dedicated to sharing knowledge and supporting each other

in our quest Self Realization and communion with God.

Thanks for joining us.

Jai Maa Jai Swami

hi,

well my sadhana is very simple..i get up and chant with my rudrakshas in the morning and put them on..i pray to the divine and ask for help and guidance...

i think about shiva and mother alot in the day and chant mantras to myself at work..

i have been eating veg the past 6 months and meat is out of my diet..

at night i meditate and chant..then pray before i sleep..

i burn incense alot...i dont know how to do a formal puja..would like to..

i am open to suggestions to expanding my sadhana and forming a new one that is in line with the group.. and would be good to me and mostly to others,,,,

i am commited..have been for a long itme...

thank you

Namaste Brian,

You're sadhana sounds wonderful. Simplicity is a good thing, because we can approach God with a simple heart. Later, if the many sadhanas that you encounter seem to be getting complicated, just remember that it's the daily routine and repetition that will let you keep simplicity in your heart. routine and repetition make a rhythm of life and worship that is simple and beatiful.

Aren't we so lucky to have the knowledge and teaching of "Ahimsa" - no violence - eating no meat. This one thing must surely release us from so much karma.

Good luck to you !

Jai Maa.
