Guest guest
Beloved Family, I heard Mother say once, "When God gives prasad, accept with both hands." Prasad, as you might know, is the consecrated offering we get after a puja. As a child i remember going to the temple and accepting prasad - kumkum, fruit or holy water from the priest at each altar. We were taught that we should partake of whatever we got - not complain or compare with others. Just joyously accept God's blessing. Hey! its not so hard when you get a little fruit or tasty sweet in the temple! Swamiji said on Full Moon day after Satya Narayana Katha - Prasad we get in life is the fruit of our karma -- we have to accept it with an attitude of gratitude! He said whether we like it or not, we HAVE TO enjoy the fruit of our karma. That is the prasad of our worship -- what is the worship? It is all the actions (karma) we do. I pray to Divine Mother to make our lives a beautiful worship so we can joyously partake of the fruits She bestows upon us! Om! ramya
Guest guest
Ramya, And so we hold out hour hands, right on top of left, bow our heads to the true Guru, life itself, and accept with a humble heart the fruit of our karma. With love and kindness and quiet strength, Holy Mother instructs us. Each instruction enough to fill our cups for years. Jai Maa.
