BHADRACHALAM: Has Vastu made a difference to the earnings of Sri Sitarama Swamy temple here?It seems so. Ever since structural changes were made in 2002 there has been a rise in the number of devotees visiting the temple and in the revenue which officials estimate might touch Rs 9 crore this year.Temple trust board chairman I Venkesteswara Reddy and executive officer V Ramakrishna said temple earnings, which varied between Rs 20 and 30 lakh in the 1970s, rose to Rs 1.5 crore in 1990.In 2002, the temple authorities made several changes, like closure of the staircase in the south, construction of a staircase in the east and construction of a retaining wall. The changes had a positive effect as in the following year the earnings rose to Rs 5 crore. The revenue continued to rise and it stood at at Rs 7.5 crore last year.Detailing the other measures taken to improve amenities for pilgrims, officials said increased accommodation and other facilities were created. As a result, there

was considerable increase in the number of devotees visiting the temple. Temple records show that 5000 devotees visit the temple on an average every month and over two lakh laddus are being sold every month.The authorities also tied up with the postal department to send prasadam by Speed Post to distant places like Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.The facility would be extended to Kurnool region soon.

Yes I comepletely agree with the fact that Vasthu will influence EVEN a temple. I know couple of agama and veda pandits from Bhadrachalam and they were discussing about this Vasthu factor and they were also saying that the revenue of the temple has gone up after making the changes.

The Vasthu of the temple varies from that of a ordinary home and there are many rules that has to fall in palce for a TEMPLE.
