Om Mahashaktiyee Namaha,

 

I have just joined this group, and wow! It really is a high-volume one!

 

I am a Finnish Eclectic Wiccan, and have studied the basics of Tantra

for nearly ten years. My favourite deities have long been Kali, Durga,

Shiva and Ganesha, and I'm a devout Shakta. (What's the feminine of

"Shakta" to describe a female Shakti devotee, BTW?) I have accepted

Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma, Ammachi, The Hugging Saint) as

my Guru, and can't wait to meet her when she next comes to Finland,

next winter!

 

Originally I was drawn to Shaktism through Tantra, and it was Kali who

just... chose me. You don't choose Her, She chooses YOU. This is my

understanding of it. Nowadays, I feel like I'm moving more towards

Durga, but since Kali emanates from Durga, this shouldn't be a big

enough problem:). Anyway, I hope to learn so much more on this group!

 

Are there any lectures, translations and other sorts of series I

should keep following, not to miss important stuff? I would be most

grateful if you could give me the names of the contributors posting

such stuff so I could always remember to read them.

 

I hope to become a contributor to this group myself, I'll try and

upload or link to a few nice images of Shakti, if nothing else!

I believe the feminine of Shakta is "Shaktaa", but I'm unsure on that point.

Its only right that one of the moderator welcomes you, or it will

Not only that we sometimes goes into high voltage, especially when

we're in our pre menstrual syndrome. Our moods fluctuate like the

stock market. If you like roller coaster, you will def love our group.

Ah Durga Ma is just some finessed forms of Kalima. No difference so much

really, much is just enthnocentric for the times and peeps. Might as well

study all of Kali including Durga if you love her so. I know if I love

something I want to know all about it.

My experience here is that the men are more cranky than the women.

........ and I thought you never pay attention. Ive seen a couple, when

the wife is pregnant its the husband who is having the morning

sickness. In here, the women goes into pre-menstrual, but the men who

get cranky.
