Guest guest
dailychhattisgarh.com CHATTISGARH, INDIA, February 20, 2007: Following the arrival of the chief minister on the main dais at the recent Rajim Kumbha Mela, it was felt by many sadhus and swamis that the focus become political instead of religious. The Mela in Rajim is considered the "fifth" after the famous four Kumbha Melas that take place in a 12-year cycle in North India. The Rajim Mela attracts tens of thousands of devotees from the area. Swami Sachidananda, Peethadheeshwar of Shri Chakra Mahameru Peeth, said, "Dharma has its own place and it should not be mixed up with politics. It is unfortunate that in this Kumbha a lot of pictures of politicians have been put up but only a few pictures of saints. Saints work for the welfare of the masses without any self interest and attachment."
