I decided to do a Marathon for Lord Nityananda, so as soon as I got

out on Lord Nityananda's Appearance day after a few weeks of good book

distribution it seemed that everyone was getting a book. I met a guy

from New Zealand who told me that he heard the song, "My sweet Lord on

the airplane the other day, and really love George Harrison. He got a

book and when he gave me a donation he sang the Maha Mantra. All

Glories to Sriman George Harrison! Then I met a girl who told me she

has a deity of Krishna in her house that is many hundreds of years

old. Her Husband is from Sri Lanka and it belongs to his family. They

keep it in her house, because the family says that this deity is very

picky and if he doesn't like a place, he'll let you know by tipping

himself over or making noises. She told me that she cleans the house

regularly and she takes extra special care to clean Krishna nicely.

She said that even though Krishna hasn't spoken to her she likes to

speak to him. She feels that he is very powerful. She said that she is

a christian but due to the nature of this deity she has respect for

all religions especially Krishna consciousness. She said that she has

even seen Krishna move and change position. What a fortunate girl.

She's a christian, but unknowingly she already has some Krishna

bhakti. She took a book and gave a good donation. Now that she has a

book of Krishna maybe Krishna will help to guide her back home. She

didnt' give me her details, but I invited her to the Sunday feast and

restaurant, and she said that she already comes to the restaurant and

is interested, so hopefully we'll see her again. Than I met a Chinese

couple that I had given a book to before. The Girl is from a buddhist

family and already chants buddhist mantras and is vegetarian. Her name

is Li Huabing and the Guy's name is Jin Feng Wang. I gave them a small

book in Chinese from the Hong Kong BBT and told them how to chant the

Mantra and they really though it nice. I spoke to them for a while and

gave them another book. They were some of the most receptive people

I've ever met, so I'm keeping in touch with them and am trying to

cultivate them. With the help from some Chinese devotees here I think

they will become devotees. Sometimes you know when someone is ready to

start chanting Hare Krishna and these people are really receptive.

They invited me to their wedding tomorrow and for a gift I got them

the mother Ganga DVD and a chinese chant and be happy. In a week or so

I'm inviting them to a devotees house for some chanting and Prasad.

Then to Gaura Purnima festival here in Perth. Either way, they are

getting a lot of benefit. They've invited me to come to see them in

China some day when they return so now that I have their email's and

numbers I plan to try to cultivate them as much as possible. >From

this I'm realizing that anyone anywhere can become a devotee. In a

letter I remember reading Srila Prabhupada saying that there is a

devotee on every street corner all we have to do is go out and pick

them up. THe world is so corrupt and full of suffering it's time now

for devotees of the world to unite in a huge sankirtana Yajna. All the

internal problems of ISKCON will be solved when we perform Sankirtana

purely. Srila Prabhupada said that distributing books can stop world

wars. If it can stop world wars it can also stop ISKCON wars, which

are much smaller. I saw a documentary today called,"The power of

Nightmares" It's a BBC documentary about the Neoconservatives and the

ISlamic extremists and how they have created an illusion of fear and

corruption in the public eye to stamp out liberal thinking and selfish

individualism. Both parties have concluded that when people become

selfish, and too liberal and there isn't a common goal amongst people,

so many social evils and degradation are the result. This is true, but

the way these parties try to fix the problem is part of the problem,

since their ideas are selfish and individualistic also and based on

the false ego. This is the root of the pressing current problems.

Selfishness separate from Krishna. The neoconservatives have been

playing on the christians to become more political and do the world

some good but all they are really doing is stealing from the poor and

giving to the rich and perpetrating false doctrines. Most of the

ISlamists today are also propagating a false understanding of ISLam.

Therefore we have so much strife. Srila Prabhupada gave the solutions

to these problems, what are we going to do about it? Srila Prabhupada

said that ISKCON will save the world in it's darkest hour. Let's make

sure that happens. Please try to distribute books, distribute books,

distribute books.
