Seventh day of Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama -Maha Harinam Sankirtan at

Yogapith by more than 3,500 devotees.

Today was the most exciting day for the parikrama devotees. Many

expressed their happiness that they could successfully walk on all

these 7 days and many were jubilant that they are back home to have

darshan of their beloved Sri Radha-Madhava, whom they were missing for

last few days . The highpoint of the Parikrama is the maha milan of

two parties-International and Namahatta parikrama group at Yogapith.

Imagine in a narrow road, more than 3,500 devotees, totally immersed

and charged with harinam and Krishna katha, carrying two Gaur-Nitai

parikrama deities in palanquin, singing and dancing with loud sound of

drums, kartals, roaring in ecstasy at same time - this is the scene at

Yogapith-the devotees were drenched in the nectar of the holy names

and it is an experience in itself.

Earlier, the parikrama group started from Jagannatha Mandir at

Rajapur, walked to Sri Murari Gupta's Sripat . They visited Sri Ram,

Lakshman and Sita devi Mandir. At Sri Caitanya Math, the devotees took

darshan of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur's Samadhi, Radha-

kund, Shyama-kund, Giri Govardhan that has manifested at Navadvipa

Mandala, Sri Gandarvika-Giridhari temple. Srila Prabhupada guru puja

was performed here. At Srivas Angan, the birthplace of Sankirtan

movement and residence of Srivas Thakur , Maharajas spoke on various

pastimes that had taken place in this holy place. HH Kavichandra

Maharaja briefed how Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu exhibited His Mahaprakash

Lila at Srivas Angan. HH Gopalakrishna Goswami narrated how

Mahaprabhu's Sankirtan started here. HH Bhakti dhira damodar Swami

explained that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu has said that there is no place

for envious persons at Sankirtan .So, this is the right place to pray

for His mercy to get rid of this anartha i.e. envy. HH Bhakti

Purusottam Swami described how Nimai had changed totally after coming

from Gaya and how this caused anxiety to Saci mata. The vaisnavas were

happy about the change in Nimai pandit and at Sukalmbara brahmacari's

house, Nimai exhibited asta-sattvik bhava . HH Jayapataka Swami in his

own dramatic way of narration, described the anxiety of Saci mata as

she expressed it to Srivas Thakur .But Srivas Thakur on the contrary

said it was indeed a disease and he also wish to contract this

disease. The devotees went to Yogapith and made their way back to Sri

Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir. At Mayapur, devotees were received with

great jubilation and were garlanded and applied sandalwood paste. They

took darshan of Sri Radha-Madhav, Sri Panca Tattva and Sri

Nrsimhadev . The temple was decorated nicely with lot of flowers and

colourful bouquets to greet them. Though the Parikrama ends today, it

is a beginning of love and lasting relationship with the holy dham and

within devotees. Many loving exchanges that has taken place among

devotees had gained a lasting friendship and a sense of oneness that

we all belong to Srila Prabhupada's family and a realization that

under one roof of Iskcon , we are happy to stay forever.
