Guest guest
I was not able to stay up for the entire evening, but really thank Swamiji and Shree Maa for making the broadcast available to everyone!! My favorite moment was the rock-and-roll version of Shiva Shiva Shambol, which sounded like it included at least one very gifted electric guitar player and whipped up to a very exciting call and response with Maa and the devotees. Wow!!! Does anyone else have favorite moments to recount (I'd like to hear of anything that happened after I stopped watching)? It would have been great to have seen the performance of the devotee who seems to have performed traditional Indian dance, but the camera was not turned toward her. Once again, pranams to our Lord Shiva and Devi (Swamiji and Shree Maa)! Rosetta
Guest guest
Namaste: Wow! I wish I could have seen that. I tuned in late. I started watching at 2AM, and I think they were winding down. I saw some dancing and clapping, and then I saw people waiting in line. Truthfully, I was not sure what I was watching, because this is my first Shivaratri. Peace, Shankari Kali rosaroja24 <rosaroja24 > wrote: I was not able to stay up for the entire evening, but really thank Swamiji and Shree Maa for making the broadcast available to everyone!! Guest guest
Jai Maa, Jai Swamiji and JAI BHOLO SHIVA SHANKARA!!!! It was indeed a great and moving occasion that we all could share with other devotees in over 28 nations and several dedicated Shiva Puja Enthusiasts, ably choreographed by Swamiji and the senior most of the Mandir abhyasis. Needless to reiterate, the function was one of grand and spectacular spontaneous surrender to Shiva, and the soul filling pujas done with utmost sincerity and absolute devotion- whether at the main altar or at the other ShivaLingas. The stage at Napeshwar was so well decorated and so much of deep "bhava" went into the many steps needed to get the function start off at a high note. Shree Maa's invocations, and the pujas done by Swamiji, were thrilling starting points for a night of glorious songs, dances, lectures, ahutis to the Havan Kund , and the colorful parades of flag waving devotees doing the SHIVA ROCK, were scenes that can only be felt and enjoyed. Many os us said silent prayers for the thousands could not come to Napa in person bu could connect with us telepathetically or by webcams. Indeed our humble thanks go out to all those who helped without any questions or left any wants undone. To repeat their names here would be impolite and without doubts, they are truly blessed twice and more . Our stays were comfortable and meaningful. To that extent, we also were blessed to be part of this GREAT DEVI MANDIR parivar. Let HER glory be sung in thousands of homes and in all lands, and amongst all nations. Let HER immense loving power envelop our mere mortal efforts, and let us all adore HER in the finest traditions. Looking forward to one more ShivaRatri festivities and bask in the divine blessings of Shree Maa and Swamiji. Let us hope that the archived tapes give us all that sense of being there, and witness the joyous burst of inner energies bubbling in our daily chores, as we celebrate one more SHIVA RATHRI. Jai Maa and Jai Swamiji>>>> Lovingly, Babu and Vijaya
