Guest guest
Namaste I have been thinking about Shiva. How does one know Him? As the Consciousness of Infinite Goodness, my finite heart can know only a small part of Him. So I reviewed my everyday experiences, looking for signs of His influence. I remembered these feelings. He is the kind words of a stranger when you ask for directions. The warmth of a young child straining to run to its Mother. He is the impulse to perform one last task when you are so tired you think you can't move another step. He is the Guru, reaching out to fulfill even your smallest desire. He is my loving wife, caring for me even when I am distant. He is me, reaching for her hand, even after 30 years of marriage. He is memories of my young son, smiling at everyone, and seeing everyone as his friend. He is all those who reach out to help someone is trouble. He maybe Almighty to some, all knowing to others, the wind in the trees to a lover of nature, but to me, He is the love that flows like a river thru our lives. Bringing us together, again and again, to keep our promise, made long ago. I don't know much about life, certainly very little about Shiva. But I keep chanting His name, and doing work in His honor, and hoping He will bring peace to my heart.
