Guest guest
Namaste Last week in Gita study, a devotee asked Swami how to prevent future karma. Karma which further binds us. Rather than actions which bring us closer to God. The answer was short and to the point, and I quote here loosely: "When the impulse rises inside to react to a strong statement from another person, instead of just blurting a response, one that may not be proper, and would cause a further round of karma, take a moment, sit in silence, and consider how you response will effect the other person. Then make a proper response. In that pause, you can control yourself. That is how one prevents the manifestation of further karma." That really set me thinking. How many times I have blurted our a response which caused disharmony? Too many times. So, I realized I have to watch myself, in every situation, and only speak, or act, after I have taken time to think thru the results of my actions. I pray daily for that moment of clarity and self control. Jai Maa Jai Swami vishweshwar
