Because Vish asked for feedback on the Gita class as he encouraged

participation, it got me to thinking that maybe more folks would join

if they realized that the class is so easy! You don't need any

background knowledge, you don't even need to read the text before

class. Just pop in and enjoy! There is so much to gain...and, guess

what? There is no pain! I find the classes relaxing. I have never

read the Bhagavad Gita, and truth be told, if I had to read it all on

my own, I'd find it too difficult. But the class makes it easy to

learn on any level, even my super doper beginner level.

 

And the class is fun! Nanda is a great chat hostess, funny and

totally helpful. Ramya is the bestest mesenger in the Universe,

taking our questions and concerns to Swamiji. Kumari is usually

around to help with any computer issues. The other students ask such

great questions that I never feel pressure to participate unless

the "spirit moves me." So I always feel it's ok to watch, listen,

and be quiet!

 

Best of all is Swamiji--what a combination of wisdom and mirth. He

is never without a smile; he jokes; he gestures; he makes us laugh.

He manages to connect us all together, and there's lots of "gossip"

as he calls it when he continues the discussion after the taped

session is over. You really get to know each other in these classes

and feel part of the family. It's a very bonding experience.

 

For me, the Gita class is a time to live, learn, love, and laugh!
