Guest guest
I have a couple of students who tend to interact with eachother and cause some distraction in class. [They met at the studio, so not previously friends.] I have asked them both to please try to minimize chat and distraction, which they have done somewhat. I wonder if it's inappropriate for me to ask that they try to position themselves with someone else between them, just to encourage their own focus and cause less distraction for the class. Any suggestions on how to manage such distractions would be appreciated. Namaste Diane
Guest guest
As a student...I have observed this in my class and the teacher during class or as it happens request them to be quiet. Sometimes it works and well sometimes it doesn't. Maybe these students don't understand that there are times to talk and times to with drawl into focus on the asana or lesson at hand. You could simple ask that if they need to talk...to step out of the class room....
Guest guest
Maybe they are another lesson for you. See if you can have your practice and not hear them at all because of your focus is so intently on your practice. Then maybe you could start seeing them with gratitude in your heart. Im not sure if this helps but I know it works for me. Peace, Teresa Diane Scobie <enhe > wrote: I have a couple of students who tend to interact with eachother and cause some distraction in class. Guest guest
you are certainlly within your rights to talk to them about the distractions they cause. It also is a distraction to you. there should be no talking at all between students during class. this is a lesson in concentration, keep them separated!
