Guest guest
Dear Harsha still waiting for your answer, which is of importance for michael.... do those for whom ADVAITA/NONDUALITY, GD, SELF, HEART, LOVE......is the essence of being need a reason for existence? Is it not enough to try to fill the gap between knowing it and living it moment to moment? Awaiting your esteemed answer.... yours in GD michael - Harsha Wednesday, February 21, 2007 1:19 AM Re: a question Dear Yosy, This list has a certain charter and is meant to be a gathering of devotees of Bhagavan or anyone interested in the yogic and meditative paths, etc. I don't know what the ultimate purpose is of anything. All questions of purpose if pursued lead one to ask about the purpose of existence. Why does existence exist? Because it is its nature. The questions of purpose and meaning and perception fundamentally pertain to the mind. Existence does not depend on mind. It is through words and through the mind, one walks the path, however imaginary; and reaches the state that is beyond purpose and meaning. It is pure Existence-Being. Complete. Whole. Content. Silent. Self resting in It Self. One without a second. What could be its purpose other than to be It Self. Words can only indicate it. Once in the Heart, One becomes the Heart. Guest guest
Dear Michael, I am not sure I understand your question. We follow the teachings of Sri Ramana. Sri Ramana used to say that there are basically two ways to Self-Realization. One is to investigate one's being through directing attention inward and ask "Who am I" and go to the source. The second is to surrender to Guru/God/ who is one's own Heart. In this way, the ego, that experiences the separate existence from God and all the fear is absorbed into God. Both of these paths merge in the end. Guest guest
Dear Harsha thank you for your answer, which arrived only at this moment. Sometimes it is so difficult for me to made me understood.....must be so it seem my "fault" Look both ways are of course known to me and i do try my best to live it. But every day i am tested by "hindrancesobstacleschallenges" and too often i do not react/act in the way it seems "right" for me. The "reason" i joined your list was - as far as was known to this person - to exchange views about how others tackle their obstacles on their way - hoping to learn by there examples. And i was sure that this is a main reason for having satsangh But practice showed that it is not like this. I do hope that you do understand now my question. Thank you for your work! in Ramana michael - harshaimtm Wednesday, February 28, 2007 12:47 PM Re: for Harsha: reminder Dear Michael, I am not sure I understand your question.
