kshitou shatpancasad dwisamadadhika pancasadudakey

hutashe dwaashashtiscaduradhika pancaasadaniley

divi dwishatriinsan manasi ca catuhshashtiriti ye

mayukhaasteshaamapupari tava paadambhuja yougam

of earth fifty six; two more than fifty in water

in fire two and sixty; four more than fifty in air

sky twice of thirty six; mind sixty four; in this way

(amidst) splendour exist above(all those mentioned before) your lotus feet.

There are several interpretations.One is that this represents Kala Chakra.The Mother individually in totality is the universe. All these elements like mind,sir etc are nothing but her. This is clear from Verse 35

" manassatvam vyomatvam.....". For the purpose of creating this universe all these components combine in an ordered structure. Their combination also results in the birth of time or its manifestation. These combinations evolve and their evolution is a measure of time . Time is associated with each of these components and is not some thing which exists independently and outside these elements. Since time is cyclic these components together make up a cycle comprising 360 degrees. Above all the Chakras lies the Bindu where her feet rest. It is the rays emanating from the Bindu which illuminate all these elements. These figures have some sort of a pattern like Rasi Chakra.

Such numbers given by Adi Sankara are known since ancient times and mentioned else where. But in these sources, there are are only 3 divisions totalling 360. This specific split into 56,52,62,54,72, and 64 is generally quoted only from Soundarys Lahiri.

Yantra is a square with all edges ending in tridents both sides. Bijaksharama are Shreem, Shreem, Shreem and again Shreem, Shreem, Shreem arranged in two vertical columns of 3 letters each in the square
