Only the segements U1 to U4 are of significance to our observation.

 

2. In United States, the total lunar eclipse occurs > between 4.30 PM and 8.12 PM EST > in Eastern Standard time (NY, Boston, Washington > DC). This is also visible in India.

 

Don't partake food after 12 noon EST in US,

 

Snanam: at the beginning of grahanam around 5or 6 PM EST. Then observing japam is good.

 

Pitru tarpanam is recommended around 7.15 PM EST.

04-03-2007 is Chandra Grahanam in India also. > Bhojanam should be completed before 3 pm. > Grahana sparsam mid night 01.45 am > Middle 4.45 am > Moksham 07.45 am. > Actually speaking 05-03-2007 whole day should not > take any food, after having dharsanam of the > Chandran only can take food.
