Hello,

I am trying to help with the typing effort of Karana Agama and I have a sanskrit verse handwritten in english script that I need to type. I am attaching the image of that verse. Could someone help with trying to makeout out the spelling of the underlined word? Is if srcite ? Is there any such word is sanskrit that such a spelling would pronounce to?

Thanks,

Bhupendra.

Namaste Bhupendraji,

does not allow attachements. I tried to copy the image you sent

but it failed to save it. However as moderator I was able to see the

attachment. to me it looked like the word SACITE. If you like pls

send th efile to my email and I will post it as a photo in our photo

section. that way all members can have it look at it as well.

Mr. Bhupendra Jamandas has asked a query to deciphor the roman transliteration of a Kaamikaagama Verse.

I am attaching the pdf. document in Devanagari text typed from his photo image.

The word he would want to know is not srcite but "arcite" where the the symbol resembling S denotes the elision of the letter "a" because of the vowel ending of the previous word li"nge due to the sandhi rule; in Sanskrit grammar it is called pra"sle.sa or avagraha.

As a senior researcher working in the Saiva Agamas and on texts of Saivasiddhanta I am interested to know about the 'project' (?) of typing the Kaara.naagama in which Mr. Bhupendra is engaged.

I would be grateful to know more about his work and his e-mail ID so that I can correspond with him for future work.

With the best wishes,

Ganesan
