Is there any such word is sanskrit that such a spelling would pronounce to? Thanks, Bhupendra. Guest guest
Mr. Bhupendra Jamandas has asked a query to deciphor the roman transliteration of a Kaamikaagama Verse. I am attaching the pdf. document in Devanagari text typed from his photo image. The word he would want to know is not srcite but "arcite" where the the symbol resembling S denotes the elision of the letter "a" because of the vowel ending of the previous word li"nge due to the sandhi rule; in Sanskrit grammar it is called pra"sle.sa or avagraha. As a senior researcher working in the Saiva Agamas and on texts of Saivasiddhanta I am interested to know about the 'project' (?) of typing the Kaara.naagama in which Mr. Bhupendra is engaged. I would be grateful to know more about his work and his e-mail ID so that I can correspond with him for future work.
