Guest guest
Dear Jessica Having suffered from this pain severely myself, I started reading and asking about the connection too. I can only confirm what Awtar wrote. Sciatica is also referred to as the "Life Nerve" and that is another area you might want to look at. How do you feel about Life and living? I do a set of "Life Nerve" stretching exercises every day, stay off high heels and traded my stick shift for an automatic in order to get away from the clutch. All of the above has helped and 95% of the time I am pain free. Wishing you well. I have been diagnosed with this condition and have been doing yoga exercises to help, but have not experienced much relief as of yet. Do you think there are specific issues I must work on that could be relevant to help in alleviating this condition. thank you in advance. > Dear Jessica: I would like to use your situation as a teaching tool for everyone interested to learn. I am a teacher more than anything and I would like to show you what you can do on your own. First forget about the medical terms. They may be useful, but first I want you to feel and relax and simplify. The way you describe your pain "the pain is deep in the buttocks", you almost have a very common expression that people use. Do you recognize that expression? When you do, ask yourself a question about it in relation to your life. Concerning the sciatic nerve I know of no expression so I'll tell you what a healer in Chinese medicine told me: The sciatic nerves flare up in people who are rigid about what's good and what's bad, what's right and what's wrong. It is about blaming. If that applies to you then look in to it if not we'll have to look somewhere else. Meditate and let your meditation tell you what is. Guest guest
Hi Eleonora, Thank you so much for you kind letter. As for yours and Awtar's letters - I am not sure as to how much they apply to my physical conditions as I enjoy my life and living and have no guilt or blaming that I am are of, but will see what my meditation reveals. My only struggles besides my sciatica seem to be financial and that is by choice, as I have downsized my life to work in a less stressful job and less hours but of course that means less money.....however, I love what I do - working with special ed children at an elementary school. I thought maybe the pain was related to 2nd chakra ? any ideas on that? jessica

Dear Jessica: When the body is hurting it is from unconscious beliefs/thoughts. > I thought maybe the pain was related to 2nd chakra? any ideas on that? > My impression is that it is 1st chakra related. It is your foundation that is shaken, your sense of security. You are probably in a phase in your life where you are learning (or invited to learn from spirit) about who you are more deeply. YB told us that when we are ourselves, a million things come to us. So this is an exciting period for you as your lack of money will bring you to discover new aspects of yourself. Accept the adventure without fear and worries. It's OK to go through hardship otherwise you would probably not have the same inquires or the same quest that this is bringing you to. I went through my own. Others have as well. It is easy during that phase to think: "If I had not done this or that I would not be here right now? Or what could have I done differently?" Even though deep down you know you did the best you could. And you did! Just be aware of all your thoughts and let go of the negative ones. They no longer belong to you. Blessings, Awtar
