Guest guest
Sat Nam! I'd be curious to know the reason why the mala should be used just with the right hand (except rare exception). I know something about left hand as a not-pure hand, but i'd like to know why and where has been wrote it. Can you suggest me a link where I can find a good explication about this topic? Thank you in advance Fateh Dharma! Sujan Singh http://www.yogajap.com
Guest guest
Sat Sri Akal. We eat with our right hand, and the left hand is used for cleaning the body from days long before the invention of Kleenex and toilet paper. In the old time, people perhaps didn't understand about germs, but they had a sense of what was clean and unclean. So...just as our food made with love, good intention, and well blended masalas, nourishes the body, our malas are used to nurture spirit and mind. Through their use they become holy, or we could say they fulfill a holy purpose. So we use our right hand. Daly On 2/18/07, A.C.
