Since each individual is different he/she may respond differently to same food. "Fertility" is the property awarded by superpower to every specie, so that the species will always exist on this planet. All the grains, vegetables and fruits have this fertility property. However, Nature gave some toxicity also to each specie so that it can protect itself from capture, consumption. If immune system is strong, even a little toxicity in the herb/food will not be tolerated and immune response (loose motions, catarrah, skin erruptions, itching etc) may occur. Then we say this individual has allergy to this food/herb. On the other hand, same herb, if fed in a gradually increasing or small dose, he lives healthy and his unbalance is corrected. some fresh juices, if taken beginning with large quantity, give this kind of response, even wheat grass juice is not an exception. Some toxicity in it causes loose motions. On the other hand with gradually increasing doses most of the cancer patients were able to increase their energy levels, after initial healing crisis was over. Same is true for many anti-diabetic juices. Even animals know about toxicity of herb/food and will not normally touch some herb/plant, but when suffering from imbalance, they will fast and/or take this very herb which may cause morbit matter to be expelled out of their body by "healing" crisis. > > rather than grasses, there are a number of other green foods > for eg., nettle is an excellent non-allergenic green food that has > all the benefits of wheatgrass > the tibetan yogi milarepa fasted on nettle as part of his sadhana, > literally turning his body green > and western herbalists have long recommended nettle as the premier > women's female reproductive tonic One has to decide what to take depending on availability in the neighbourhood, convenience of getting fresh every day and juicing ease. While the wheat grass juice in Canada may exhibit antigen behaviour to some, similar variety of wheat is also available in India, derived from mutations. But author has seen that a certain 100% original Indian seed popular in M.P. did not cause any "allergy" to anyone. If a bread made from both wheat is given to a dog, dog preferes the bread made from "original" seed. Allergic reactions of many patients became very mild after reducing wheat to 50% in their diet. And when they were asked to buy this "original" wheat, grind the floor and use in "whole" form, the reactions did not recur. It is unfortunate that in the race for materialism, scientists and politicians have poisoned the food also.
