Planetary Transits for February 15 - February 21

Note: Feb. 16 is Maha Shivaratri, the most auspicious night of the year for Shiva. If possible, it is good to attend or sponsor the pujas offered at your local Hindu temple. Alternatively, you can listen to Shiva chants or do a puja at home.

Sun transits Aquarius, from 02:12 to 09:16°. Sun is weak in transit until Feb. 17.

Moon transits Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and into Aries.

Mercury transits Aquarius, from 16:10 to11:15°, retrograde until March 7, combust Feb. 17--28.

Mars transits out of Sagittarius and into Capricorn, Feb. 17. Mars is weak in transit until Feb. 24. Mars is outside the orb of influence of other planets and is in its exaltation sign, Feb. 17--March 29. This is good for property, competition, and executive decisions.

Venus transits out of Aquarius and into Pisces, Feb. 16. Venus is weak in transit until Feb. 20. Venus is outside the orb of influence of other planets and is in its exaltation sign, Feb. 16--March 12. This is good for romance and creativity.

Jupiter transits Scorpio, from 22:11 to 23:06°, outside the orb of influence of other planets. Jupiter is weak due to being debilitated in the navamsa chart.

Saturn remains retrograde until April 19, and transits Cancer from 27:19 to 26:45°, under the aspect of Mars until Feb 20.

Taurus, Virgo, and Scorpio rising signs should remain patient and cautious.

Rahu and Ketu transit Aquarius and Leo, respectively, from 22:16 to 22:13°, remaining in the 22° range until April 4. This can bring worldwide tension, including government, weather-related, and natural-disaster problems. Persons and countries with odd rising signs, or planets in odd signs, around 22°, should be charitable and take extra care and patience.

TRANSITS FOR EACH "RISING SIGN":

Aries: Plan on a boost in your career after Feb. 23. Expect gains through your children, education, investments, parents or property, but there may also be travel, losses, expenses, separations, or hospitalization with your spouse or partner.

Taurus: Enjoy your career, children, investments, education, communications and business ventures. Your health and also finances improve shortly. Be patient with losses or expenses, and your spouse or partner need to be extra careful.

Gemini: Your health, communications, business ventures, and home life improve, but income and friendships are weak until Feb. 24. Exercise patience with your spouse and partners to avoid disputes and debts. Pursue career education.

Cancer: Parents, property, and home life improve after Feb. 19, and your career, connected with spouse or partners, improves after Feb. 23. For some, there may be more status. Be careful with your children, education and investments.

Leo: Focus on marriage, partners, and foreign ventures, which are connected with losses, expenses, travel, hospitals, or separations. Be patient with business setbacks. Manage conflict, health or financial problems for your father or guru.

Virgo: Expect a boost in your wealth and status through marriage and partners. Parents, property, and home life improve. Avoid losses through debts and conflict, and keep your attention on your health, finances, and being of service.

Libra: Start to focus on your health, finances, and being of service to others. Be patient to avoid conflict and debt. Marriage and partnerships, connected with parents, property and home life, improve after Feb. 23. Teach, publish and advise.

Scorpio: Work out of your home. Gain from parents, property and home life.. Be careful with communications and business ventures through March. Manage losses or expenses with children, education and investments through mid-March.

Sagittarius: Expect good fortune with communications, business ventures, research and mystical knowledge. There is income through your parents, property, and home life, and status through your children, education and investments.

Capricorn: Expect a boost in your career and business ventures after Feb. 19, along with happiness, property, and organizing power after Feb. 23. Both good fortune and disappointments are connected with your status and family life.
