Guest guest
Dear Anoop, Shiva, Chris, everyone: Saturn like all the planets sometimes is negative and sometimes even positive. The main problem with Saturn however, is for most people, and in this age, Sani more often then not Saturn is not understood. For example, if Saturn is strong in a person's chart then there's a much better chance that Saturn Dasas, Transits and even Sade Sat may be positive. This is why I think Anoop for one, talked about how sometimes even Sade Sat can be okay. Unfortunately for most people Saturn is likely to function malefically. There is another meaning in Saturn's dasas and Transits and that is there are specific lessons there that we're meant to understand. I have one friend who's in has Moon in Gemini in her chart. And her Saturn has been negative for most of her life. However, in the last few years she's really grown tremendously in terms of Saturn. These last few years of her most recent Sade Sat she had a wonderful time. One other way of planning for typical Saturn periods is to look ahead and plan. For example many people have financial challenges during Saturn periods. So, if you know you've had a habit of loss, then plan ahead. If you know that typically you feel rough or depressed, emotionally during your Saturn periods then in the future look at these periods as rest and healing periods instead of outward or dynamic ones. Then if we find ourselves experiencing any of the negative side of Saturn; whether in Saturn dasas or Transits; use this time to grow with Saturn. Treat Saturn consequences or negatives as opportunities instead of curses. Like if we get sick. This is an obvious Saturn challenge, however, there is also a lesson there for us. We need to focus on healing and we need to do something so that in the future we don't pick up so much stress. Fun talking with you. Posted by: "Anoop" anoopkurup anoopkurup Wed Feb 21, 2007 2:36 am (PST) When saturn transits 12,1 & 2 of natal moon, it is sade sati. People talk as is it is some sort of a major disaster. As a person, who has been going through the so called "sade sati" let me say it was nothing but ordinary. So stick to the basic rules. 1. Take lagna as the point of reference, not moon. We have good calculators and dont have to rely on the moon any more. It was a pracrice set in during old days - If u dont know ur lagna then tell me your janma naksathra and let me take it from there. So remember ur lagna. 2. When will u have effects of a bhava. Take the bhava. if u are looking at your career, take 10th lord. Take ur lagna lord. Take Ju also into consideration and follow the rules. If the bhava lord. a. transits the bhava or its thrikonas b. transit the lagna rasi c. transit the ashraya rasi of lagna lord. d. transit the ashraya rasi of the bhava lord or its thrikonas. e. lagna lord and bhava lord aspect each other or conjunct during transit f. If Ju during transit, aspects the natal bhava lord Same applies for all the transits, including that of Saturns. 3. Now what is so horrible about sade sati ? Sa is slow moving and indicates, troubles. When in 12,1 and 2 it tends to stay there for 2.5 years, during which Mo tends to have papa madhya sdhithi or papa yogam(Moon being the karaka for mind, when having Sa on both sides will cause mental troubles). That's it. I dont know may be I am all chaos. ----- Original Message ---- theblisswithin theblisswithin > vedic astrology Tuesday, February 20, 2007 11:48:12 PM Subject: [vedic astrology] Re: Does Sade Saati affects family?
