suchandra
How do you make your home like a Temple? First and foremost to print at your copyshop a leaflet like Prabhupada did in his room at the Bowery (NY, Lower East Side): Bhagavad-gita class -for example you start once a week on Thursday at 7pm-8pm. Prabhupada's flock soon began to print and distribute invitations and leaflets such as this one:Practice the transcendental sound vibration, Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. This chanting will cleanse the dust from the mirror of the mind. Another invited to STAY HIGH FOREVER! No More Coming Down Practice Krishna Consciousness Expand your consciousness by practicing the *TRANSCENDENTAL SOUND VIBRATION* HARE KRISHNA, HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA, HARE HARE HARE RAMA, HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA, HARE HARE
theist
How do you make your home like a Temple? You make Krsna the center of the home. Give up any conception of your being the homeowner. Krsna is the homeowner and proprietor. You live there also but as a loving servant. It is not just a matter of building an altar or formally offering food and aroti although these naturally follow. It is a matter of consciousness first and foremost...Krsna consciousness. First the community temple. Then we add the home temple. Then we realize that Krsna lives within us the soul and we come to understand that we are the living temples of God, the Soul of souls. And we see the same of everyone else. At this point everywhere is a temple of the Lord, both within and without everyone and everything. Established in this consciousness a devotee lives in samadhi in action. Within Krsna only does the devotee move and have his being. He never leaves the temple even if he enters hell to perform some service.
