Guest guest
Sruti (what is heard) refers to main Vedic writings: 4 Vedas and the Upanishads, as well as Aranyakas and Brahmanas. These texts are seen as directly coming from a spiritual source (Breath of God) - it is forbidden to change these texts. Smriti (what is remembered) are the Puranas and Itihasas. These are traditional texts, which were re-edited and re-written many times in the last 5000 years.
Guest guest
Hi Can you please, tell me, which "school" (or how could i say it..tradition) uses only Sruti. Or, is there any forum, discussions, etc that are based only in this texts?
