Guest guest
I thought that this is a mighty good quote by the saintly politician: "Hindus will be judged not by their Tilaks, not by the correct chanting of Mantras, not by their pilgrimages, not by their most punctilious observances of caste rules, but their ability to protect the cow." Guest guest
Yes I believe in the Omnipotent ,omniscient all knowing Supreme Person, It's just that I have no realization of the son of Maharaja Nanda This ever youthful lad who frolics in the groves of Vrndavan with all those gopi friends of His- I just can't make any sense of His lilas and sports with my contaminated mind and intelligence. How on earth can I make Lord Sri Krishna my beloved Istha-deva? When o when will He appear before me so that I can speak to Him,serve Him nicely and give Him pleasure. He is the Greatest and yet the smallest being in the whole universe. The Supreme Transcendent Person who has no business with the material world. He delagates all that matter stuff to the appointed demigods to do. Lord Krishna's pastime is to engage in sweet love dalliances-rasas- with intimate glances, kisses, etc.with His gopi friends- Where does that leave me? In a better position than those that pretend to have realized the Krsna form and His pastimes but who really haven't IMO. Honesty is the best policy and honesty with one's self is critical in spiritual life. I am in the same position. I believe in the Krsna form and lila but have yet to realize Him. Belief is not realization although many get fooled into thinking so. I am at the very beginning of God realization. Let me realize something of the nature of God and then Krsna realization will come more easily in the proper association with His devotee. This is why I refer to myself as simply a theist and not more than that. It should be noted that Srila Prabhupada stressed starting at Canto 1 of the Srimad Bhagavatam and then proceeding to the tenth canto for a reason. Realization is not mere intellectualism like memorizing the tenth canto or Govinda lilamrtam verbatim and then parroting what has been memorized. Guest guest
That is Krsna Consciousness for the faith-less person. How can a faith-less person think of Sri Krsna as the Topmost person when knowledge of His supremacy is non-existant. Hw can a faith-less person speak about Krsna if he thinks Him to be a mere myth. How can a faith-less person perform devotional service unto Sri Krsna when He is seem as lifless and impersonal.
Guest guest
Hope Against Hope, Despite my utter helplessness I'll serve, chant, pray and remember Krsna Who is the cause of all causes What ever samll devotion is in the core of my heart I shall offer to Him An He will accept it If offered Through the medium of His pure devotee servant. And Krsna is all Supreme in all ways forever And is a Person -a youth who plays the flute And plays tricks and frolics in the fields of Vraja. **************** Bhagavad-gita As It Is 10.8 aham sarvasya prabhavo mattah sarvam pravartate iti matva bhajante mam budha bhava-samanvitah I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.
