Hello,

I am looking to practice kundalini yoga in the UK(london). Does anyone know of any good institute or teacher who could teach me?

I am not sure what effect will it bring to my life. I mean what changes could I expect from it.

Basically, due to lot of interest in yoga practice from many years I am seeking someone (an expert who has 4-5 chakras awakened) who can guide me for KY.

I also went to get radha soami "shabd" but that's too tough to practice by leaving lot's of things and I keep forgetting the "naam" they given me.

I would really appreciate if someone who has practiced KY and already has 3 or more chakras awakened can enlighten me about KY?

Thanks

ams

ok, thanks for your help.

I will serach for it.

Still I would like to know the feeling or effects of KY or when the chakra is activiated.

As this ios the only forum where I could find some sensible people talking about KY.

Thanks

I didn't realize "KY" was a standard acronym for "Kundalini Yoga". From the title, I thought somebody in Kentucky (in the USA) was looking for a Guru (which is admirable in and of itself).

Questions: how can one verify that their teacher has a certain number of chakras open? Do practitioners of KY (makes me think of a certain "personal lubricant" as well) get merit badges each time they open a chakra?

Also, once a chakra opens, is it impossible for it to close? That is, does the yogi need to maintain effort to keep the chakra open?
