krsna
Haribol to Babhru Prabhu, Who said- “My understanding is that the best way to glorify him(Srila Prabhupada) is by honoring our commitment to at least follow the regulations and chant our rounds, and to do it in such a way that they yield fruit sweeter than sectarian pride: love for Krishna as the residents of Vraja feel.” Your point is essential. It marks a true hero in our times, just to do the 4 and 16 and control the senses. Older Srila Prabhupada disciples should be an example to the world of how this is real worship of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna. Yes, the ultimate goal is the sweet fruit of love of Krishna. The goal of our life is Krishna-prema, or love of God. I recently read a lecture of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta wherein he said, and I paraphrase this in my own words, that every morning, every day, we should realize the extreme urgency of attaining the goal of life, Krishna-prema, because if we do not realize the extreme necessity of constantly pursuing this goal throughout the day, then our minds will always be overcome with lesser concerns, and our day will be filled with inferior thoughts and activities, even in the name of service. We may have so many excuses why other things seem to be more important, and in this way our mind, our goal of life will slip away into the shadows and we are wasting our precious time. Our day is always filled with distractions, and we cannot always feel the intense love of God, which is our goal. This is the nature of this world, so many distractions. Even the gopis were distracted by household affairs, but they meditated on Krishna, in separation, and waited for Him to return from the pasturing grounds, for the moment of meeting, or sambhoga. In the same way, we have our little moments of intimate connection with Krishna and Srila Prabhupada, like when we read Their pastimes at the end of the day, or have kirtan and arotik, or sadhu sanga. It’s a nice meditation to always mentally anticipate and look forward to those short sections of time, when we can intensely connect with Krishna via Srila Prabhupada’s books, and/or chanting. This is kind of a vipralambha type of meditation in separation, in the footsteps of the gopis, where we can anticipate our coming union of sambhoga with Krishna and His pastimes. And, with a little mercy, by Srila Prabhupada’s grace, such meditations in separation will bring us bliss throughout the day, even in the midst of constant distractions. ys visoka dasa
