suchandra Posted August 10, 2007 Report Share Posted August 10, 2007 Mangalore, Aug 9: Mangalore Refinery and Petro-Chemicals Limited (MRPL) has joined together with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to provide mid-day meal for 2600 school children every day around MRPL. ISKCON has already introduced the concept of Akshaya Patra through Akshaya Patra Foundation which believes in ‘unlimited free food to support education.’ In Mangalore alone they provide this scheme to over 50 schools touching the lives of over 11,000 children. Now the MRPL has also joined together with ISKCON in this regard. Samrakshan, CSR programme of MRPL has joined hands with Akshyapatra Foundation of ISKCON to provide mid-day meals for 2600 schoolchildren from 11 schools in the villages of Katipalla and Krishnapura area.
